The weather was extremely hot (99 degrees on Saturday, 98 on Sunday).  I attended a singles function referred to as 'Friday Nite Live'.  It was great.  There was a speaker from a nearby church, praise &amp; worship singers and members of a drama team performed a skit.  This is the 3rd event that's been held (I missed the first 2). On top of that, I woke up about 40 minutes late (and it's raining outside). There was no way I was going to make it to work on time. The entire process has been extremely smooth and has only taken about 2 1/2 weeks from the date of my application (which was taken over the phone) until closing.  My interest rate will drop from 6.875% to 5%.
